How Volunteering Works
Simple, local, and easy to join.
Volunteering at the Majestic is designed to be approachable whether you are helping for the first time or returning with a group.
Arrive before the doors open.
Volunteers normally arrive about one hour before showtime so there is time to get organized and prepare for guests.
Help where needed.
The theatre team will guide you through the evening and assign tasks such as concessions, tickets, guest service, or cleanup.
Wrap up together.
Plan to stay until about 30 minutes after the final show while the theatre is cleaned and prepared for the next movie night.
Night of the Show
There is a role for everyone.
Volunteers help with the small things that make a night at the movies feel welcoming and run smoothly.
Welcome Guests
Greet moviegoers, answer basic questions, and help create a friendly first impression.
Tickets
Help sell tickets, take tickets at the auditorium entrance, and direct guests when needed.
Concessions
Make popcorn, sell snacks and drinks, restock supplies, and help keep the concession area organized.
Clean Up
Help reset the lobby, concession area, auditorium, and restrooms after the movie.
Groups Are Welcome
Bring your family, team, club, or organization.
The Majestic encourages families, service organizations, businesses, clubs, and other community groups to volunteer together.
A volunteer night can be a simple way to serve Lexington while spending time together. The theatre also welcomes individual volunteers who would like to join a scheduled team.
