Our Story

Built by student ideas. Sustained by community spirit.

The Majestic first opened in 1915. After closing in 2009, Lexington students championed its return, helped reshape the building, and celebrated its reopening in 2015.

Today, Lex Majestic Theatre, Inc. continues that story as a nonprofit supported by volunteers, sponsors, donors, and moviegoers from across the area.
