policies and procedures
Cell Phones & Electronic Devices
The Majestic Theatre respectfully requests that all patrons turn off their cell phones and other electronic devices prior to the feature film. Even when silenced, the light emitted from a cell phone is incredibly distracting to other patrons. An offending patron may be asked to shut off their device or may be asked to leave without a refund.
Crying Babies and Noisy Children
We respectfully request that parents remove crying babies and noisy children from the auditorium and take them to the lobby.
Disruptive Patrons
Patrons who are disruptive in the theater may be either given a warning or be asked to leave without a refund.
Drug Free Schools & Communities Act
The Majestic Theatre was purchased by the Board of Education to provide students with a hands-on, real-life learning opportunity. The Majestic Theatre is a school owned-facility and should be treated as an extended classroom for our students. In compliance with federal, state and local law, policy prohibits the unlawful manufacture, dispensation, distribution, sale, possession or use of a controlled substance or alcohol by students, staff and guests on school-owned property.

The Majestic is a no-smoking, no-tobacco facility. This includes electronic cigarettes.
Outside Food & Drink
The concession stand at the Majestic Theatre provides many snack and beverage choices. Please do not bring any food or drink with you to the theatre.
Piracy
The Majestic Theatre enforces the prohibition on film piracy under law. Film piracy is a federal felony. The video taping or photographing of any portion of a film is not tolerated. An offending patron will be asked to leave without a refund. Proper authorities may be notified.

R-Rated Films
Movies are a great form of family entertainment - but not every movie is suitable for every member of the family. That is why the Majestic Theatre fully supports and enforces the rating system outlined by the Motion Picture Association of America. Students under age 17 must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian (age 21 and over) to purchase a ticket for a film that is R-Rated. Patrons under age 25 may be required to show ID. For more information on film ratings, visit Filmratings.com.
Refunds
Tickets purchased are only valid for the film and showtime specified.
We ask that all guest be mindful of their purchase. Before purchasing your tickets, we urge you to confirm the title and time of the movie you wish to see. At the time of your purchase, the Majestic will remove the number of tickets you purchase from the theatre's inventory, reducing the number of seats available for the chosen showtime. While this allows us to provide our patrons with the clear benefit of guaranteed seats, it prevents us from reselling tickets in the event that you do not attend your chosen showtime.
In the rare situation when a show is cancelled, you will be entitled to a refund for the full purchase price of your tickets including any service charges. In these situations, please send an email to [email protected] and include the movie title, show time, and your email address.
Refusal of Admittance
The Majestic Theatre reserves the right to refuse admission to any party. Patrons who appear to be intoxicated or otherwise disruptive to the general audience may be denied a ticket.
Severe Weather
The Majestic Theatre reserves the right to cancel a show due to severe weather or the threat of severe weather. Likewise, we reserve the right to shut down a film in-progress to warn the audience of severe weather situations. In the rare situation when a show is cancelled or shut down due to weather, you will be entitled to a refund for the full purchase price of your tickets including any service charges.
